Planning to stay in the Walled City or Getsemaní, do I need to worry after dark
The Walled City is extremely safe at night. It's heavily policed, well-lit, and always busy with tourists and street vendors. You can walk around there without worry until the early hours.Stick to the main tourist areas (Walled City/Getsemaní central squares) and there's a huge police presence, but always take a taxi home after midnight.
Youngstunna is right about the police presence in the tourist zones. The key is to stick to the well-traveled, brightly lit areas within the walls. If you leave the Walled City or Getsemaní, definitely take a registered taxi, especially after 10 PM.Stick to the main tourist areas (Walled City/Getsemaní central squares) and there's a huge police presence, but always take a taxi home after midnight.
If you stay in the Walled City, you’ll be fine. If you’re staying in Getsemaní, just make sure your hotel is near the central plaza, as that area is constantly monitored and buzzing with activity late into the night.
