Getting from Sucre to Potosí, bus or shared taxi

Planning to travel from the Constitutional Capital to the mining city soon. Is taking the bus a terrible idea or should I just split a taxi with other travelers?

Stick to the shared taxi. The bus is okay for budget but takes way too long, and the trufi is much quicker door-to-door.

It really depends on your budget. If you want the absolute cheapest, take the bus. If you want a solid balance of speed and comfort, the trufi is the best option for sure.

I actually took a slightly more upscale minivan service, a "minibús ejecutivo". It cost a little more than the trufi but was air-conditioned and guaranteed a direct, fast journey without waiting for it to fill up. Check at the terminal for one of those.

Find a group of three or four people and just charter the whole taxi yourself. It's the fastest and most flexible way to make the trip.
