Hammamet is usually better for families because it has more all-inclusive resorts right on the beach with good kid amenities and activities. The northern beaches around Yasmine Hammamet are fantastic and have great, shallow, calm water.

If you want convenience, stick to Hammamet. It's closer to Tunis airport and the resorts are very well-equipped with pools, playgrounds, and supervised activities for kids.

Try Sousse. It's slightly south of Hammamet and the beach quality is very high with nice, fine sand and calm sea conditions.
