Where is the most authentic Laksa in Little India or Katong

Looking for the real deal, not the tourist versions I see everywhere which area is better for a spicy food hunt.

Katong is the classic spot for Laksa, try Janggut Laksa for a bowl that's more traditional without all the shellfish.
