Do I need to book my island transfers in Fiji way ahead of time

I'm staying on a small outer island resort next month and need the ferry or seaplane connection should I get it now or wait until I arrive

Definitely book those island transfers as soon as your resort is confirmed, especially if it's peak season, they can fill up and you don't want to be stuck on the mainland.
